During WWII, German aircraft designers put forth many aircraft project ideas, which ranged from the practical to the bizarre. Some of these ideas were ahead of their time and reached a more advanced design stage, and even affect aircraft today.
Henschel Hs P 122 high altitude bomber.
The Junkers Ju EF 100 transatlantic airliner.
None of these aircraft were ever built, but the EF 100 design got as far as windtunnel tests.
