This is the only Potter book I’ve read and is very good in that it sums up the story very well. It provides a great ending to a great story. Rowling resolves an impressively complex and mature plot history and proves beyond a doubt she has had this all planned out from the beginning.
The themes and lessons are definitely adult, not in the puerile, sexual sense, but in terms of true maturity. Things are not as they seem; we don't always know what we want; evil is real and must be opposed rather than appeased; adults may or may not know best; people die, and must discover or choose the meaning of their death. Bottom line – an awesome read!
