Foo Fighters

Small luminous balls of light spotted on numerous occassions by pilots during the second world war. These strange coloured balls of light were witnessed both over Europe and the Pacific, and are a prime example of the UFO phenomenon.

Most people believed that the objects were some form of experimental aircraft being used by the enemy, however there were no reports of attacks from the objects. Some pilots reported sighting formations of Foo Fighters on long flights, which acted almost as though they were playing tag with them. Sightings of 'metallic, transparent and glowing balls' intensified in June 1944, which may have been due to the use of Nazi 'flying bombs' or the first ballistic missiles.

No satisfactory explanation was ever reached regarding the true nature of these mysterious objects.
